Dean Ritchie
Dean began his journey into Podiatry at the University of Salford in 2022, building on over a decade of leadership and clinical experience in health and social care. Prior to this, he worked across a range of settings, including complex care, children’s homes, and older adult services, leading teams and managing safeguarding, risk, and clinical quality. This grounding deeply informed his commitment to delivering compassionate and equitable podiatric care.
He takes pride in demystifying podiatric treatment for his patients—whether performing neurological assessments, biomechanical evaluations, planning nail surgery, or managing a variety of dermatology related conditions. His goal is always to ensure the person in front of him understands their care and feels empowered by it. Whether conducting a vascular screen or designing a custom orthotic, he centres the patient’s goals and lived experience in their treatment.
Dean is currently furthering his clinical development through a master’s degree in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. This specialist training is deepening his knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and will enhance his ability to support patients in staying active, mobile, and pain-free for longer. It reflects his long-term goal of becoming an advanced MSK practitioner with a strong foundation in evidence-based rehabilitation, maximising his patients’ potential.
